Interface - Attachments

This section contains settings for configuring the behavior of the Attachments panel.

The Double-click or Enter on an attachment drop-down list allows you to choose which action should occur during these events. The list contains two options:

Run attachment: opens the selected file in the program associated with its file type, or executes the file if it is an executable (e.g., an .exe file on Windows).
Insert link to attachment: for page types that support file links within the note text (wiki pages and HTML pages), this inserts the notation that will be converted into a link to the selected file or files.

The Show hidden folders check box allows you to enable or disable the display of folders that start with two underscores (__). Such folders are considered service folders and are hidden from the user by default. In this version, only one type of hidden folder is created within the attachments folder: __thumb. This folder contains, for example, thumbnail files for images on the page. Plugins may create other similar folders that should not be shown to the user, or use the __thumb folder for their own purposes.
